fecking snow

From the National Weather Service:

TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BECOME VERY DANGEROUS OR NEAR IMPOSSIBLE

BY THIS EVENING. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED THROUGH LATE THIS

EVENING. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...TAKE A WINTER STORM SURVIVAL KIT

WITH YOU AND TELL SOMEBODY WHEN AND WHERE YOU WILL BE TRAVELING.

ETA: Even the UNIVERSITY closed this afternoon and the city transit is shutting down tonight. That's major around here.

Yup. Here too. Miss Tessmacher and I granted ourselves "snow days" and stayed home. By late afternoon the forecast was warning that "roads in outlying areas may be impassable." I just heard on the news that St. Johns has seen 11"...ALREADY. And it's still snowing like a big dog outside. Must remember, too, that this is all over top a nice slick coating of freezing rain that fell last night. God, I love winter. (ugh)

holy cow! and here we are watching daffodils getting ready to burst. . . bizarre.
It was 80 degrees yesterday down here. I miss snow so much! Thank you for posting pictures. That pretty tree blanketed by fluffy white snow is now my desktop picture on my work computer.

Stay safe!

Oh, how I do not miss this aspect of living Up North.

You poor souls. How are you doing? I hope you're well-stocked on the essentials.
