First foods

The doctor recommended that we start giving Daniel rice cereal, now that he's four months old. So we tried it. And he ate it! Well, most of it. Maybe half of it. Anyway, some of that rice cereal dribbled down his chin, but some of it made it in his belly.

(Silly Stuart. Daniel's too young for beer!)

Ah, here we go.

stuart is a total self-confessed nerd. he read the lord of the rings trilogy when he was about 8 years old. sometimes his clothes don't match. he dropped out of a PhD program in neuroscience/bio-psychology to work in the software industry. he's teaching himself computer programming languages. and yes, he's very cool :)

daniel doesn't match, either, and he reads programming books all the time, in his free time. he gets really excited about it.
Before I came to work here, I was at the thrift store. I saw a T-shirt that said "I Love Nerds". I wanted it sooooooooooo badly to wear on my first day of work here, but they didn't have it in my size. But I still long for that shirt!

I'm so glad to know, I think, that one of Daniel's first foods was not beer. I was a little worried he was going to start a habit WAY too early.
Actually, my dad gave us all beer when we were little. We even had our own little "beer tup" (I got my c's and t's confused when I was little). Anyway, once I turned 2, I couldn't stand the stuff, and still to this day don't like it!

C's and t's confused? Jenn, I taught a group of 3 year-olds one time in which a little girl got her c', k's and t's confused. She enjoyed telling me stories about her two titties, Bwatty and pwinsess. Figure it out.

Oh, man. I saw a t-shirt the other day that said, "Talk Nerdy to Me." I wish I've have bought it!

i like that t-shirt very much, too. suze, i think you need a "i love my geek" t-shirt from geek.com Lydia has one, and i think Geron really appreciates it. He's a geek, more than a nerd, but I'm sure he has his nerdy moments (but his clothes always match. is that the difference?)
Oh, Lydia, that's so funny! I hope she gets her speech impediment straightened out before she starts middle school!

How is it that something that was so terrible to be when we were in high school is now cool? There's no justice in the world! LOL

you know, just last night i was thinking about the "just talk nerdy to me" and just last night i realized why that's so funny. other than the fact that it's accompanied by a picture of martin. jeez, i can be slow on the uptake.
